Trying to Get Work Done on Your House? Impossible

If you’ve tried to find help getting some work done at your house, you know how hard it is to find anyone to do the work. You’re ready to pay. You know it will cost some dough. But there is no one around to answer your call, just crickets. It’s not a great feeling.

Which brings me to the robo-advisors touted by the big money managers like Vanguard. Do you like the sound of that? A robo-advisor? I don’t. But no one wants to work. That’s the world you invest in today.

Finding a trusted advisor, one you can actually speak to in person, is like finding help for your house project. They only want to talk to you if it’s a big job. The investment firms don’t have the resources to worry about Main Street. They are too big for that.

The Newport office is on a quiet, tree lined street not far from the harbor and the log cabin in Bartlett, NH, the “Live Free or Die” state, sits on the edge of the White Mountain National Forest.
